Opposition Calls for Fixed Election Dates in Quebec
Every opposition party in Quebec is supporting the implementation of fixed election dates to replace the "archaic" discretionary system currently used in Quebec and most other Canadian provinces. It appears as though the opposition is growing tired of Jean Charest's wait and see antics around calling the Quebec provincial election, which is expected soon. Ontario, British Columbia, and Newfoundland are the only provinces with fixed election dates.
