All Parties Participate in PEI Leaders Debate
The Prince Edward Island election campaign has not garnered much national media attention, but given the controversy over inclusion of the Greens in the federal leaders debate, I thought it was interesting to note that all four parties (PC, Liberal, NDP, Green) are represented in the debate despite the fact that only two of them (PC and Liberal) currently hold seats in the legislature. The Greens and NDP barely register in public opinion polls either. The federal parties and appropriate authorities should follow the lead of PEI when the federal election finally rolls around.
