Green Party Leader on Restoring Fairness in Education

TVO's STeve Paiken interviews Ontario Green Party leader Frank DeJong about his party's proposal to eliminate public funding for religious schools, including Catholic schools. There is no question the Greens are eroding NDP support by championing this issue of education fairness.

The Green Party has advanced a long way within the political realm. Certainly the populist position of a singular Big Brother education caters to the lowest common denominator. Certainly this is a superior green action for countries with poorly developed education outreach.
However, in Canada I would argue the position is decidedly paternal and singularly orthodox. A good green education system should behave as if every individual had pro-rated access to government's education expenditures AND the option to spend this money on education of choice which is competitively provide.
