NDP MP Peggy Nash is
calling for a national holiday on February 15 - Flag Day. Meanwhile, Manitoba's NDP government is
proposing a bill to create a provincial holiday in February. Big business isn't pleased. I think the additional holiday is a good idea, but Flag Day? Why not Tommy Douglas Day? He
died on February 24, 1986.
